Sober Living Austin

Are you looking for sober living in Austin, for yourself or a loved one who has just finished inpatient rehab treatment? If so, Bridgeway Sober Living helps people at different phases of their recovery. Of course, you don’t have to be fresh out of inpatient rehab to stay in our sober living homes, but it is highly recommended because we need our residents to be serious about their recovery and working their program.

Bridgeway Sober Living is a kind-hearted, welcoming, sober living environment with several houses in Austin. We’ll bend over backward to help people who are serious about helping themselves. That is the key – we can only help those who are serious about their sobriety and recovery because we have limited resources, and we want to expend those resources prudently.

What New Residents Can Expect when They Stay with Us

Our goal is to protect the best interests of our new residents and the patients who have been with us longer. For this reason, we have to be very strict about who we accept into our sober living homes. We don’t want to jeopardize the sobriety, safety, or peace of our current residents. This is also why we have a very strict program structure during the first thirty days of a new resident’s stay with us. This period can be thought of as a 30-day probationary period.

During this initial 30-day program, which we call the “Case Management Program,” we want to get to know you a bit. We closely observe all of our new residents during this 30-day period, and we limit their rights to come and go to a degree because most residents will relapse within the first 30 days. We don’t want our new residents to relapse, and we don’t want any new residents who have been compromised to bring drugs or alcohol back into our homes and give them to our other residents.

The Rules for New Residents

The curfew for new residents in the Case Management Program is 10:00 pm. During this period, residents will be expected to wake up in the morning and be productive. Bridgeway Sober Living provides plenty of time for rest and R&R, but we have to insist that our residents remain productive and responsible because relapse is always knocking on the door. Your program can be successful, but it only works if you work it!

As a new resident, you will be expected to attend several recovery meetings each week, and we want you to find a sponsor during this time. This is for your sake, not ours. A sponsor can help you when you are at your weakest point and hold you accountable. Also, if you do not have a job when you arrive, that’s okay. We want to help people, so we can let you stay here until you find one. However, we have to request that you look for work and show us proof that you are actively on the job hunt.
